Surviving Breast Cancer? Forget About It…

We survived the SLEEPOVER!

On Friday night, 7 little boys descended upon our home armed with sleeping bags, pillows, and tons of energy. We cleared a space and were ready for them…

It’s amazing how these darling boys could turn a room into this…

The party “wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be!” Those probably aren’t the words you should be saying when throwing a party (!) but it was true. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be and in fact, it was a lot more fun than I thought it would be. A big thank you to Laura and Sonya for hanging out until midnight to help!

We opened presents…

Ate a Ninja cake…

Complete with Bobby’s traumatized “Happy Birthday” face…

Danced…

Did a little late night crafting…

Spent some time in jail…

Settled down for a movie…

And the rest of the night was a blur. All I know is that it wasn’t quiet until 1:30am and then it all started up again at 6:30am with doughnuts…

Water balloons…

And early morning battling…

By 9:30am the doughnut sugar-high wore off and SpongeBob did the trick until parents started collecting their boys…

Bobby’s Marathon 8th Birthday Week was coming to a close and from the looks of these Bobs…

Not a moment too soon.

Happy Birthday to our sweet boy.  May your 8th year be filled with adventure, wonder, laughter, and love!

When I saw the picture of the sleeping bag filled room the memories of past slumber parties came flooding back. I can still smell the sweat socks and cheese pizza! The birthday week was off to a rough start, but it ended successfully. Love to you and your Bobs!
